@sandscrochet I’m always trying to think outside the box!!! I remembered this trick from using it in my waist band buttonhole when my pants get a little tight, lol, and I thought it would also work as a cute buttonhole that anyone could make!!

Love your viedo’s and how easy they are thank you. Question the first row you have 39 sc total, in row 2 do you have 38 sc or should it be 39 sc? Just making sure I am doing this right:)

  13. Hectanooga1 says:

@1975ccoleman Every row will have 39 sc. If you could your stitches as you work, you will ensure that your rectangle keeps straight sides. New crocheters sometimes have a hard time with this, but counting, and making sure you have 39 every row will keep you on the “straight and narrow” so to speak… lol.

i love this bag but i dont have such a big hook can i use j/10-6.00mm or will it efect the size?

  15. Hectanooga1 says:

@claudianekoears Using a smaller hook will result in a smaller size item. You could try to crochet more loosely, and add a few more rows at the end if you absolutely don’t have the proper size hook, and you are anxious to get started. If it looks like it’s not going to work for you, you can always unravel it and start over!

  16. Suarezl23 says:

Im trying to make this but i think im doing something wrong cause about 5 rows in i notice its getting smaller? what am i doing wrong?

  17. Hectanooga1 says:

@Suarezl23 You are probably dropping a stitch at the beginning or at the end of a row.
If you count your stitches as you work, and you maintain the same number of stitches in every row, that will keep you straight.

  18. Suarezl23 says:

@Hectanooga1 Thank you i got it! Its coming out lovely just takes longer when i have to count :)

  19. Hectanooga1 says:

@Suarezl23 Once you are more experienced at crochet, you will probably not have to count… but until you have a feeling for where the stitches fit, counting is the answer!!
